Bio:
After 17 years of urban living, Allie returned to the place that has always provided peacefulness and balance: her Northern Michigan hometown, Sault Ste. Marie. Allie brings her decade of yoga experience from New York, Boston and San Francisco, where she practiced a variety of hatha yoga styles, including Anusara, Restorative, PranaVayu, Forrest, and Vinyasa yoga. Recognizing an opportunity to develop a yoga practice in Sault Ste. Marie, Allie moved home to live closer to her family and offer yoga to the community. She launched Northern Life Yoga in March 2010, and opened Northern Life Studio for Healing Arts in September 2011.

Allie is pleased to serve the Sault Ste. Marie community with yoga classes to cater to a variety of levels. All of her classes are designed to be a challenging yet playful experience, as she strives to help students develop a strong body, peaceful mind, and healthy spirit.

Allie earned her 200-hour teacher training certification through Yoga Tree in San Francisco in 2010. In 2013, she also completed a 50 hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training Program with Bernie Clark at Semperviva Yoga in Vancouver, British Columbia. She has also started pursuing her 500-hour teacher training at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.
