2025 has been a full year. I finished my latest book, Prana — One Breath, Many Worlds and a new online video course, Functional Anatomy for Yoga Teachers. And we conducted four live Yin Yoga Teacher Trainings as well as hosting weekly classes online. Now, after more than twenty years of leading Yin Yoga Teacher Trainings, I’ll be taking a one-year sabbatical in 2026 to rest, recharge, and explore a few long-delayed projects. What does this mean? Only that I won’t be leading live (in-person or Zoom) teacher trainings during 2026. All of my On Demand online trainings remain open and available at any time, including:
You can start or revisit these courses whenever it suits your schedule.
I’ll also continue teaching my weekly 90-minute Sunday morning Yin Yoga class, which I look forward to every week.
Thank you for your ongoing support and for being part of this community. I expect to return to a full schedule of live trainings in 2027.

Additionally for yoga students and teachers alike, the course will look at the context of yoga through its evolution thousands of years ago to the modern practice.

The On Demand version of Functional Anatomy for Yoga Teachers is now available! This is a second level Functional Anatomy training which goes beyond the basic information about anatomy and physiology offered in basic Yoga Teacher Trainings. This training will help you educate your students on their uniqueness and how to determine what works best for them, rather than being told what they can and cannot do. For more information head over to either Asana at Home or visit Yogaversity. Either option will work to take the course. The original, live in-person training was held July 7-11, 2025. Our intention in creating the On Demand version is to make it feel like the viewer is right in the room with the other students.
