Lisa Burke’s teaching style is influenced by Sarah Powers, Maritza (Anusara), Paul Grilley, Ana Forrest, Judith Lasater and Bikram, all of whom she completed teacher trainings or intensives while living in California. Lisa emphasizes pranayama and deep core work in all her classes while also exploring or rediscovering one’s authenticity. She encourages her students to share their yoga with all beings outside the yoga room; getting strong and centered but flowing with grace and ease and learning to deal with fear and daily struggle without anxiety…and most importantly, cultivating your practice to being a positive influence in your life and other peoples’ lives every day.
Lisa is teaching yin classes at Triangle Yoga in Chapel Hill, North Carolina Sundays 6-7:30, Tuesday’s 10:45 am, Tuesdays 5:45 p.m. and does Yin/Yang 3 hr. classes about once a month.
