Yoga for the Kneedy
The pain kept getting stronger. Burning. But, you know – no pain, no gain. So, I stayed. My feet were snuggled up high upon my thighs in as tight a Lotus pose as I could manage. After about two minutes of the pain, I had had enough. I slowly, stiffly, unfolded my legs and straightened them out. The burning feeling in both inner knees didn’t go away very quickly. In fact, it did not go away at all. I had crushed the medial menisci in both knees…

Functional Anatomy – Advanced Study
In-person, July 3-7, 2023 in Vancouver, Canada
With Bernie Clark
Only 1 spot left.
This is the first time that Bernie is offering a second level training which goes beyond the basic information about anatomy and physiology offered in his Yin Yoga Teacher Trainings. The focus will be on how the body moves and, more importantly, what limits movement, when these limits can be extended and when they should be accepted. This understanding is important not only for yoga students and teachers but anyone who helps people move functionally. The term “functional” is used to contrast this approach to instructions and alignment which focus on “aesthetics,” which is a pre-conceived notion of how people should look rather than what actually works for them.
Every Sunday morning at 10am PT, join Bernie for a live 70-minute Yin Yoga class followed by a 20-minute meditation. If that time doesn’t work for you, watch the replay which is available for 7 days. Or, here is a new option, with a one-year subscription, you can access the archives of all the past classes!
