To me, Yin Yoga is Moon Yoga. When the moon faces the reflection of itself on the surface of water, it shines upon itself. Over time, the clarity of water will unveil what's been sealed in its depth - bit by bit. Practicing Yin Yoga, we similarly remain in stillness: letting go of muscular effort, we make a choice not to release creative activity.

We rather stay and watch, listening to what's being released from deep underneath our skin, layer by layer. It may not be that comfortable, as we're likely to step into an avoidance zone. However, releasing cellular memory will have a long-term gain as the effect of Moon Yoga is simply nourishing. Explaining how the energetic levels in our body work and correlate, I refer to Chakras & Prana, as well as the 5 Elements and Meridians of TCM. My sequences are aligned with the seasons of nature and astrologic constellations.

Bianca Schramowski       Berlin

Since several years Bianca has a strong Vinyasa practice. To balance all the Yang in her life, she started with the calmer Yin style and immediately fell in love with it. She learned how wonderful Yin Yoga complemented her practice and wants to share this experience with others.

Her Yin Yoga classes bring you back into the now, help you to connect with your breath, your body and your self. Her teaching style is functional and guides you to find what feels right in your body, not what just looks good on the outside.

Beside teaching studio classes, Bianca also offers private sessions and workshops in Berlin.

Erinbell Fanore    Berlin

I have been practicing yoga for over fourteen years. I fell in love with yoga: with standing still and sweating, with not moving but moving, with needing nothing but my body, mind, breath, with becoming more and more and always more aware of myself and of life. I was first attracted to the physical side of yoga and how through the asana practice my busy mind and heart can find peace and stillness (even if that peace and stillness doesn't always last long). With time, as my practice evolves and deepens, I am finding that it is also slowing down. I am drawn more and more to Yin Yoga, to stillness, to holding postures and watching how they work on the body, mind and spirit.

In 2007, I became a certified yoga teacher training with Dave Curtis in Cork, Ireland and began immediately teaching yoga full time on Gozo. In June 2010, I did a 100 hour training with Paul and Suzee Grilley on Yin Yoga and Anatomy. Since September 2009 I have been enjoying teaching yin and hatha classes in Berlin.

For me, practicing Yin is like coming home.

I am a dedicated practitioner and teacher of Yin and Yin-Yang Yoga. Since my 2019 training with Sarah Powers, I have been leading private and group yoga classes here in Berlin and online. My two weekly classes are held at C*Space in Weissensee, and in warmer months I also teach outdoors.

After practicing Hatha Yoga for 20+ years and doing a 200hr Vinyasa teaching certification in Shanghai with Lorraine Aronson in 2011, I discovered Yin in 2018. This was the yoga I had always yearned for. The grace involved in slowing down, quieting and listening to my body and breath has been a most bountiful gift. I am nourished by this deep practice and it has become my life’s work to share this with others.

Please reach out or come to a class! All are welcome.

Sunny Hoffmann    Berlin

Namaste, my name is Sunny. I teach a 90 min and a 60 min Yin-Yoga class. I also teach a 60 min Dragon Dance Class before, so practitioners can experience both Yin and Yang. I like to focus my classes on, for example, one part of the body, an emotion to balance or to balance a change of season. I studied dance and different styles of yoga and meditation and like to share my knowledge with the students. Our studio provides all kind of yoga props to help the practice of Yin-Yoga. Classes are relaxing and energizing. Beginners welcome
