Desiree is a 500hr E-RYT, RPYT and YACEP with thousands of hours of formal training in Yoga. She has been teaching yoga for over 16 years. She is also the Lead Yoga Teacher Trainer of The LI Kula Yoga School, where she currently teaches ongoing classes and leads the 200hr and 300hr Yoga Alliance Approved Yoga Teacher Training Certification Programs. Desiree has studied with many great teachers which include: John Friend, Doug Swenson, Zhenja LaRosa, Lois Neisbitt, Beryl Bender Birch and Pattabhi Jois. Desiree specializes in Yoga, Wellness, Mind-Body Fitness, Energy Medicine and Kinesiology as well as Reiki, Pranic Healing & Etheric Healing. Desiree has additionally been featured in The NY Times, Fitness and Essence Magazine as well as TLC’s “A Baby Story.” Desiree also specializes in yoga therapeutics and is happy to offer her students the healing benefits of Yin Yoga.
