Cherilyn Hopkins Belvidere
Currently teaching at Prana for Peace in Stillwater, NJ a private studio in Belvidere, NJ, and adding other locations locally. Studied Yin Yoga at Omega in NY with Biff Mithoeffer in 2005. I became a certified Yoga Alliance instructor through the Hatha Yoga Method at Stillpoint Yoga studio in Blairstown. Fell in love with Yin Yoga in 2005 after my first practice opened a doorway to my inner self and allowed the expression of trauma to release from the body. Yin speaks to me on a deep level. We live in an extremely Yang society/world and then we exercise the body in a Yang (muscle- movement) manner. There is a great need to balance and anchor these abundant Yang energies with Yin practices such as Yin Yoga meditation. I layer aromatherapy and sound therapy into the practice to allow complete relaxation of the mind, body and spirit.
