Yuki Riley    Alexandria, Virginia

A Japanese quote “Ichigo-Ichie” means, “once in a lifetime encounter.” Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Yuki believes that this quote describes the essence of practicing and teaching yin yoga – cherishing the present moment to draw our awareness inward and to experience the poses through the body, breath, and mind. Yin yoga has been taking an essential role in her personal practice to bring the mental calmness and balance her active life style. Yuki is always looking forward to sharing that “once in a lifetime encounter” with other practitioners in the class or in a private session. In her sessions, Yuki offers a calm, grounding practice to suit individual needs and also enjoys conversation with practitioners on the physiological benefit of yin yoga based on her functional fitness experience.
