Tara Connell

Tara Connell     Havelock North

With her own history of injury through dance and gym, serious illness as a consequence of work-related stress, and a strongly competitive streak, Tara has learnt first-hand the merits of taking a softer, slower, and more gradual approach to yoga, and becoming more aware of, and responsive to, the messages the body sends.

Yin Yoga has been a game-changer for Tara, and she is passionate about sharing its many benefits with the people she is privileged to work with.

Tara completed her 200-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Markus Giess and Karin Sang of Yin Therapy in Auckland, NZ and has been teaching twice-weekly Yin classes since early 2016. She also runs retreats, workshops and special events both locally and off-shore.

Registered with Meditation Australia,Tara’s classes are suitable for people new to yoga, as well as those with more experience who are keen to explore a gentler approach in longer held poses, with an emphasis on self-discovery and mindfulness of breath and body.
