I teach yin yoga as a long term healing solution to joint injuries, anxiety, trauma and tension. I incorporate somatic release for emotional memories stored in the deep tissue. Presently, my work with yin yoga involves Reiki energy in which I give short Reiki treatments while students adapt themselves to the yin shapes. I use restorative practices as an adjunct to yin postures as needed. My original teaching training began at Yoga on Main in which I trained under Shiva Das and Ed Zadlo for my 200 and 500 certification, specializing in ayurvedic therapeutics for yoga. I continued to study ayurveda for self care with Ed Zadlo. I also am certified with Street Yoga to work with homeless and traumatized youth. I am grateful to my teachers, Corina Brenner, who trained me in Yin Yoga, Karen Safire, who trained me in Restorative Yoga , Ed Zadlo, who taught me everything I know about Ayurveda and Sean Jacobs, who taught me Reiki as a healing modality for the yogic path.
