Saori Funawatari    London

I was introduced to Yoga in 2002 and have become a keen practitioner ever since. My journey started with Yang practice: Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Dynamic Rocket Yoga, Dharma Mitra Yoga. I have undertaken the first teacher training course in 2012 and became a dedicated teacher since. I was soon introduced to Yin Yoga in 2014 and trained by Murielle Burellier & Sebastian Puchelle from “With Yin Yoga” and successfully became a qualified Yin teacher. I have also completed the further training with Bernie Clark and Diana Batts.

I have developed a deep understanding of Yoga history, philosophy and Daoism (CTM) system that relates to both body and mind and been a keen practitioner and learner. I was also drawn into Yoga anatomy when I was recovering from a minor sport injury and also became a certified Ayurveda Yoga Massage therapist.

I aim to teach, through Yoga, an appreciation of our present state of being, a mindfulness to help counteract the stresses of daily life. My approach is rooted in the balance of Yin and Yan.
