I became a student of Yoga in 2000. I was first introduced to Yin through Sara Powers' Insight Yoga book in 2012 which began the process of utilizing the power of Yin postures to become more present with the felt perception of my experience. I became certified to teach through OmTree Shala in 2015. That same year, I completed Carole Westerman's Level I Yin training; then Yin Level II the following year. I enjoy weaving mudras and pranayama into our practice for a well-rounded class. As an addiction and mental health therapist, I invite the principles of Yin into individual and group sessions to demonstrate the power of awareness and integration. I am honored to instruct weekly classes at two studios in Lawrence, KS.
