I started my yoga journey later in life after retiring from the Auto Industry.  I decided to take a 200 RYT teacher training in 2017 to learn more about yoga for myself.  I am fascinated by the various styles of yoga, the history, and unlimited perspectives on the topic.

Recently I completed a 50 hour certification for Yin Yoga. I am forever hooked on the stillness and deepness that my practice now contains. I was convinced I would teach Vinyasa style yoga as it matched my personal practice when I started the teacher training. Soon after, I fell into a Yin class and the rest is history. The warm tears, as I refer to them, gently released from eyes in the long held poses. I was free to think and process in a way that I had never experienced in a Vinyasa class.

I love the science behind yoga and especially yin yoga. I often get the “no way can I hold a pose for 3 mins” when first introduce the idea of yin to someone. BUT once they try it where they don’t push themselves to pain, they come back every time. Try a few Yin classes before ruling it out. You just might get hooked.
