Richard Sonne Oneonta, New York
Richard began practicing yoga to heal himself from illness. It quickly became a passion for him, and he has set to share yoga with the world. He is certified in Vinyasa/Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga, and is always furthering his education through continued workshops and study.
Richard grew up working in his family’s bike and ski shop in upstate New York, which taught him the importance of staying active and healthy. Primarily interested in helping his students bring greater attentiveness to their lives, Richard’s practice is inspired by Mindfulness, Indian and Chinese Philosophy (Samkhya & Taoism), and the teachings of J. Krishnamurti. He has taught yoga at many studios throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey, including regular classes at Rutgers University. Off the mat, he dresses up as the Business Manager at Oneonta Ford. He loves his wife, coffee, and playing with his cat, Fillie Cheesecake.
