I was drawn to Yin through Sarah Powers’ book Insight Yoga during a period of quiet contemplation in my life and took on the practice for two hours daily, six months straight. Through Yin I found the transformation I was seeking – a shift from an assertive, powerful yang lifestyle to one of more balance. I teach a meditative, holistic body/mind yin practice. The focus of our practice together is on experiencing the changing sensation you feel within your body and quieting your thinking mind. In class, we practice deep, rhythmic breathing, honoring time, and staying present. Students are always encouraged to find positions that feel most productive in their bodies, and 1:1 guidance is offered throughout class.
