Monica Washburn

Monica Washburn       Millville

After many years of experiencing the adverse effects of a chronic autoimmune disease, Monica went on a quest to find something that would help to heal her body and mind.  Over ten years ago, Monica found yoga, and never looked back.  She felt the desire to share this beautiful gift with others, so she earned her 200-hour certification and then her 50-hour Yin certification with Bernie Clark and Diana Batts.

Monica offers weekly Yin classes through her website.  She adapts her classes to meet the needs of her students, and brings a lightness and humor into each and every class.  With a drive and desire to help others, Monica emphasizes the importance of breath and reminds students to find the balance between effort and ease.  When you practice with her, she will encourage you to “come as you are”, be present in the now, and to enjoy your escape on your mat.
