Mimi Moncier

Mimi Moncier    San Francisco

Mimi is an experienced teacher whose primary practices have become meditation and Yin Yoga. She teaches yoga teachers to teach Yin Yoga in her 50 hour training and offers workshops that combine Yin Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation. The energetic body as an indicator of well-being is her area of expertise. Mimi has been practicing yoga since 1990 and teaching meditation, and yoga since 2010.

She sees a profound and palpable energetic shift that occurs within her students over the duration of a class. The practice of Yin Yoga gives the body permission to present itself in an obvious way but it invites deeper examination of the subtleties presenting at a lower frequency. Yin Yoga is spacious, and therefore encourages a letting go of tension in the mind and in the body. Mimi uses the technique of mindfulness to help her students remain present, aware and safe.
