Michelle Mixell RYT500, CYT    Leesburg, Virginia

In 2009 Michelle Mixell, owner of Yin Yoga Works, had the great fortune of studying yin yoga and anatomy with Paul Grilley – an event that forever changed her approach to practicing and teaching yoga! She is so grateful for having found this amazing practice called Yin Yoga.

Recognizing that the healing potential of Yin Yoga was quite significant based on her own personal experience and the testimonials of her clients/students, Michelle teamed with Dr. Troy Allam, D.C., of Craig Ranch Chiropractic, McKinney, TX, in March of 2010, to evaluate the efficacy of yin yoga to treat chronic low back pain.

Michelle is excited to share the benefits of this quiet, calm and very accessible form of yoga! Her goal is to bring Yin Yoga into the mainstream as a commonly accepted complimentary treatment for chronic low back pain and other stress related pain.
