Michael Downs    Bentonville

After years of practicing more than a dozen forms of modern yoga, breath and mindfullness is practiced in every form.  Intriqued to share his learnings, Michael received his certification in Yoga Foundations from renown teacher Patrick Creelman.  But it was Yin that changed everything.  Besides greater flexibility, Yin forced Michael to slow-down which provided time to connect the mind with the body.  He also found Yin improved his meditation practice.

Michael teaches pranayama and meditation in his Yin and Hatha classes that focus on breath and connecting the mind to the body throughout the class.  Yin classes are fantastic for beginners and mature students. Long holds that maintain stress in the pose help students learn mindfullness and be present in the practice.  This provides students the time to connect their mind to their body.  Michael offers challenging alternatives for experienced yogis so all students find their edge during practice.
