Marion van Overveld Roosendaal
After many years of practicing Hatha & Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, Marion was introduced to Yin Yoga around 2005 (Paul Grilleys DVD) and started to integrate Yin into her home practice. When in 2017 she was diagnosed with GBS (Guillain Barré Syndrome), the Yang Yoga was out of the question and the only form of Yoga she was able to practice was Yin.
Marion started to experience all the benefits Yin has on the body, the healing process after a serious illness, the openness Yin creates, the energy that flows freely again.
Diving deep into theory, reading all available books from Bernie Clark to Travis Elliot, she found her niche, became a Yinster and decided to become a teacher as well in 2019. After 200hrs Hatha (Sivananda) and 50Hrs Yin in India, her education was enriched with Jo Phee’s Yinspiration moduels 50Hrs TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) & 50Hrs MyoYin (Myofascial release) and 50Hrs AcuYin. She also follows QiGong trainings on a regular bases. Marion’s classes are never boring as all her knowledge gathered from trainings is implemented as she tries to share the benefits of Yin with everyone that wants to in a strictly functional approach, offering enough variations and alternatives so everyone is able to feel the desired effect and benefits of the Yin poses.
