Marie-Claire Lacey Glasgow
Marie’s interest in Yoga stems from an awareness that society is often an alienating, dehumanizing place, that disconnects us from ourselves, each other, and the world we live in. She uses Yoga as a vehicle to restore those connections, and as means of imagining paths towards alternative ways of existing. Her approach to teaching yoga is centred on healing – mental, emotional and physical – through connection to the self and the world around us. She primarily teaches Yin Yoga because of the meditative space that it offers, while her own practise comprises a balance of Ashtanga and Yin.
Marie holds a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified multistyle Yoga Teacher Training qualification, and is trained in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin Yoga. She also holds a 50 hour specialist Yin Yoga teaching qualification, gained studying under Bernie Clark. She comes from a background working in Mental Health, and holds a COSCA Certificate in Counselling skills, and has studied Psychology and Sociology.
