When I was first introduced to Yin Yoga I thought it was boring and I found it difficult to hold poses for 3 – 5 minutes because I felt restless and anxious.
Now I am 72 years old and appreciate the benefits of the long held stretches for my joints while freeing my mind to focus on the breath and the body.
During the pandemic, I missed the in person teaching and decided to setup a website to reach students who were isolating in my community.
I studied Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark in 2015 and Yoga for Older adults with Maureen Rae in Toronto. I have adapted yoga poses for beginners and older adults using a chair or mat for easy effortless classes.
