After over 4 years of being a yoga student, I took my first teacher training in 1999 at the Sivananda yoga ashram in the Bahamas, and returned in 2008 to do the advanced training. I have attended workshops, trainings and conferences with teachers such as Rod Stryker, Rodney Yee, Shiva Rea, Gurmuk Kaur Khalsa, Anna Forrest, Michael Stone, Ram Dass, Bhagavan Dass, Baron Baptise, and so on… One of the most valuable teacher trainings I have had was with Bernie Clark near Whistler, B.C. Learning to slow down has been the greatest tool for all my yoga classes. I teach many types of classes from hot to Sivananda to vinyasa flow, but I must say the yin yoga is my favorite. A beautiful blend of meditation and posture.
