I was drawn to yoga many times, but became serious about it in 2013. After training vigorously as a long distance runner, roller figure skater, and CrossFit practitioner, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos, an autoimmune thyroid disease. My doctors advised against high intensity activities and to practice calming the nervous & immune systems. So I once again, turned to yoga and fell in love!
I obtained my 200RYT in 2018 and began teaching Hatha and Yin Yoga immediately after. I have been teaching 4-5 Yin and 1-2 Flow classes a week ever since. In January 2021 I obtained my 500RYT, with 300 hours in Yin Yoga from the Josh Summers School of Yin Yoga. I now give teacher trainings and host Yin workshops and 50-hour immersion teacher trainings.
Yin Yoga is my passion, and I practice it daily. Currently, I am training in pilates and have hopes to bring the strength building into my VinYin classes. I really want people to build strength and stability, as well as mobility, all while practicing mindfulness.
