I've practiced & rotated through various asana styles since 2009. I considered myself an Ashtangi at heart, and enjoyed the sweatier side of yoga until one evening during a Power class, I experienced my first emotional release while holding Frog pose for what felt like forever. I didn't know such a reaction and release was possible during yoga, but this experience allowed me to awaken to the deeper side of physical asana work. Later on I would take my first Yin class and learned that Frog was considered a "Yin" posture.
Since then I invited more Yin into my lifestyle, while sharing the knowledge and practice with others. I believe Yin gives us the tools to become our own teachers as it forces us to slow down and pay attention. I completed my 50-hour Yin Yoga Training with Bernie Clark and am currently teaching in the South Bay Area of California.
