Kate Jenkins

Kate Jenkins    Birmingham, Alabama

Kate has been practicing Yin, Vinyasa and Bikram Yoga since 2008. She attended Bikram Yoga teacher training in 2009. She is a runner, cyclist and Iron Tribe (functional fitness) athlete, but her true passion is Yoga.

Kate is a native of Nashville, TN. She attended Loyola University in New Orleans and earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy. Kate has made Birmingham home since 2004. She attended Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in 2009 in Palm Desert. Later, she attended Bernie Clark’s Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Vancouver in 2014. She is a member of Church of the Highlands and keeps her style of teaching Christ-centered. 

Kate maintains a strong connection to her Indian reservation – Cochiti Pueblo, New Mexico. She has created a non-profit called Native Strength Revolution: a program teaches yoga/ fitness/ nutrition to Natives on the reservations of the Southwest and eventually through all of North America.
