Jo Bregnard Springfield
In 2009–seven years after my cancer was discovered and moments after yet another potentially embarrassing wardrobe malfunction during class–I ditched my breast form at the yoga studio, acknowledging that I had found my second home. I’ve used yoga to nurture myself as both a survivor and caregiver, discovering that a conscious practice is indeed for every body. Inspired by so many supportive teachers and students (especially my yin yoga teacher, Shawn Cornelison of Open Doors Yoga Studios), I strive to provide accessible sessions that encourage you to discover your authentic self.
I’ve done additional training in Teaching to Beginners and Prenatal Yoga, and I have certifications in Yin Yoga, Yoga4Cancer, Reiki (II) and Thai yoga bodywork (level 2). I enjoy teaching outdoors, and I bring my experience in aromatherapy into my Yin classes. I hope you get as juiced as I do about the freedom and present(s) a slow, mindful yoga practice offers!
