I began practicing yoga in the early 2000s, and completed my first yoga teacher training in 2014. Despite a common fear of public speaking, I began teaching yoga in 2015 at a local gym as a way for fellow members to recover after working out. I found yoga to be healing in so many ways, and I love to help others along their journey. I am drawn to working with people who have a variety of experiences and abilities, most especially with people who have been left feeling that yoga is “not for them.”
I completed my 500 hour teaching certification with Mark Stephens in 2022, with an emphasis on yoga for arthritis and aging bodies. I have additional certifications in Trauma Informed Yoga, Yin Yoga, Functional Anatomy, and Chair Yoga. Yoga can be transformative for everyone, but only if it meets people where they are.
