Jenni Antonicic

Jenni Antonicic    Chicago, Illinois

Jenni has been teaching yoga since 2009.  Her first 500 hours of training were with vinyasa and meditation master Rolf Gates.  She began teaching mindfulness meditation after training with Shamash Alidina and her Yin certification is from Bernie Clark and Diana Batts.  Adding to their heavy influences she has been guided by Jim Bennitt and James Tennant.  She currently teaches a mindfulness-based Yin practice as well as vinyasa, restorative yoga, pranayama and nidra.  Jenni celebrates yoga as a way to cultivate energy, then wisely and skillfully apply it towards worthy goals. This could be as simple as staying with a challenging pose, or as sublime as scattering joy to all beings.  Her practice emphasizes breath-enhanced movements and attention-enhanced breath; building a strong foundation on which to explore expression; and most importantly fostering illumination through brave and honest reflection.  She intends for her classes to be physically and mentally challenging but emotionally restful, leaving students in playful communion with the world.
