Jean Friendly

Jean Friendly    Larkspur, California

Jean Friendly has been practicing meditation and energy work since 1991. Since 2001, her active asana practice has been based on Ashtanga, as taught by John Berlinsky and Lea Watkins, and it has been complemented with a Yin path, introduced to her by Sarah Powers and Paul Grilley. Since completing her yoga teacher training with Sarah and Paul, Jean has continued her studies with many distinguished teachers, most notable being Ashtanga founder, Pattabhi Jois, Iyengar masters Ramanand Patel and Kofi Busia, and spiritual teacher Adyashanti. Jean’s teaching style synthesizes all these influences ? bringing awareness of energetic flow and core grounding to expand a student?s sense of physical presence in each moment. Each class is an invitation to remember. An invitation to awaken into the moment – into the truth of what is.
