Heidrun Jacobi Melrose, Massachusetts
Heidrun came to yoga in 2002 when she tried a yoga class just because there weren’t any Pilates classes offered on that particular day, and, as has happened to so many before, she was hooked immediately. Initially feeling drawn towards more athletic yoga styles, her body started signaling her at some point that it was longing for a slower, more meditative practice where poses could be held for long periods of time and really taken in. At the beginning of 2011, as part of her 200 YTT training, she attended a Yin Yoga workshop – and knew this was it! She completed a Yin Yoga teacher training with the amazing Josh Summers in May of 2011, and has since embarked on a journey to learn more about Eastern and Western views of our bodies as well as meditation.
