I fell in love with Yin Yoga in Edmonton, Canada and felt an immediate deep affinity with this beautiful yogic practice. I flew to Chicago to do my Yin Yoga and yoga anatomy teacher training with Paul Grilley and later with Sarah Powers in London. I started teaching at one of the yoga studios in Edmonton and within a treatment centre for women recovering from eating disorders, knowing the profound capacity of Yin to help us re-inhabit our bodies, to come home to ourselves, to listen deeply to our bodies and respectively respond. I have now returned back to the UK and feel honoured and privileged to share the teachings I have received at Shambhala Studios in Leigh on Sea and in Southend. I teach purely Yin Yoga and utilise soft music in my classes, sharing information about Yin Yoga, Taoist philosophy and meridian theory interspersed with periods of silence.
