Edie Nehls Cappiello   Livermore, California  RYT200

Edie became interested in alternate healing modalities in 1998 after being diagnosed with congenital hip dysplasia at the age of 27. Hip dysplasia causes the joint to deteriorate resulting in pain and limited range of motion. To manage the symptoms Edie sought out alternative healing modalities rather than resorting to pain medication – Yoga being of the primary practices she discovered to bring ease and space to her joints.

In the summer of 2015, Edie retired from her career in non-profit administration to pursue her desire to be a Yoga teacher. She completed the 200-hour Divine Wisdom Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica that summer. She happened upon Yin Yoga that year and began to enjoy the benefits of the practice as a student. In 2016 she began guiding Yin Yoga classes and was thrilled to complete her 50-hour training in February 2018.
