Dianne Cecchett    Knoxville, Tennessee

I began studying yoga in 1984 and was introduced to the practice of yin yoga in 2007.  I completed my yoga teacher’s training in 2010 through Kula Shala Yoga, Jupiter, Florida which incorporated a yin component into the training.  I have been teaching yin yoga ever since and have been greatly influenced by the work of Sarah Powers as my primary teachers were ongoing students of her.    In January of 2014 I participated in a Sarah Powers workshop in Palm Beach, Florida.  As much as I appreciate the physical benefits of the practice it is the mental aspect I believe to be most beneficial. Hence I strive to develop a calming and centering environment in all my classes.
