Diane Brooks

Diane Brooks       Everett

Diane has practiced yoga for 20+ years and began teaching yin and hatha yoga in 2013, including several years as an Everett Community College instructor. She is fluent with the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, especially his 8 Limbs teachings, and loves to share that knowledge with her classes. She’s fascinated that the practice’s ancient spiritual and philosophical teachings fit perfectly with the modern mindfulness movement.

Diane’s Yin explores mindfulness and breath techniques while holding seated and reclined poses, increasing flexibility by gently opening the connective tissues. Her Karuna Hatha, as developed by the late Paul MacNaughton, is a blend of Iyengar, Yin, Anusara, Flow and Kundalini styles.

Diane earned teaching certifications from the American Yoga School and Creative Source Alliance, the wellspring of MacNaughton’s Karuna style. She also has completed a 50-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Bernie Clark.
