Dana St Pierre      Colchester

I became a certified Yin Yoga teacher in 2019 and began offering online classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. As I taught, I witnessed profound transformations in my students—not only in their physical flexibility and range of motion, but in their capacity for stillness, meditation, and inner awareness.

This experience clarified my purpose: to share the deeply healing and balancing practice of Yin Yoga. While I appreciate the strength and energy of Yang-style yoga, incorporating Yin brought a new level of harmony to both my teaching and personal practice. Many of my students continue to join me weekly, drawn by the space Yin creates for slowing down and reconnecting.

Inspired by the changes I saw, I continued my education with a 300-hour advanced Yin Yoga training through the Summer School of Yin Yoga. I’m currently expanding my understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the science of connective tissue, and the meditative aspects of Yin practice—all of which continue to shape the way I guide others on their journey inward.
