Chris Warner

Chris Warner (M. Ed., CYT)    Haverhill, Massachusetts

Chris has been practicing yoga and meditation since the mid-nineties, and was introduced to Yin Yoga in 1999, by her first yoga teacher, Janine Grillo-Marra. In 2007, she began teaching, having been inspired to do so by the recovery of her husband, Mike Maguire, from 3 strokes and brain surgery. She and Mike both know that it was through dedication to the practice of Yin and Mindfulness that he was able to heal, and regain his health-physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Chris is particularly grateful to her primary teachers—Sarah Powers, Paulie Zink, and Paul Grilley—without whom her love of Yin Yoga, and her dedication to healing the body/mind/spirit would not exist. Chris is also grateful to Thich Nhat Hanh, for his inspirational teachings and gentle spirit. Chris is the founder of the Merrimack Valley Center for Mindfulness, and she teaches from a variety of traditions, all from the foundation of Mindfulness Meditation.
