Cheryl Wilson   RYT200    Morristown, NJ

I am a RYT200+ Yoga and Yin  instructor in New Jersey. I have a background in teaching Vinyasa flow, Restorative, Gentle, and Accessible Yoga. I am also Level Two Reiki practicioner.  I completed my 200 hour RYT training at Onyx Yoga in Warren, NJ. I also completed two levels of yoga therapy with Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. I hold certifications in Yin Yoga and 20 hours of Restorative and Accessible yoga.

Yin yoga for me is about working the body from the inside out and helping students connect to their deepest layer of self. Yin yoga is based on the meridian lines in the body and helps release the connective (fascia) tissue, elongate the ligaments, increase bone density and flexibility in the body.  Yin is a practice of surrender helping create more space in our body and mind as we release “stuck” energy and tap into a state of pure awareness through holding the poses for a period of time. My yin classes allow for transformation and offer surrender to what’s happening now in the body, mind, and spirit. It also teaches how to stay with our breath and what’s coming up for us on and off the mat.
