I dabbled in Yoga as a compliment to my competitive running and cycling career, and totally fell in love with it in 2007. I obtained my 200-hour RYT under Laurie Gallagher, Kelli Barnett, and Suzanna Spring in 2010. Suzanna also sparked my interest in my practice of Yin Yoga; eventually I pursued Yin teacher trainings with Christy Brown of Yoga Works and Lisa Jang of The Yoga Company.

I appreciate the Yang and dance aspect of a more vibrant Vinyasa/Flow practice, as I so love the focus, movement, and activity of it. In our busy, and sometimes just plain hectic, present day lives, it is important to unplug, and go deeper. A Yin practice allows for that; not only to target deeper tissues in the body, but also to deeper inside oneself, and discover one’s true essence. I see Yin as a tonic for the soul
