I have a foundational 200h in Ashtanga Vinyasa and 50h Yin Yoga training with Bernie Clark. Prior to training in yoga, I practiced many styles of martial arts since 1990. After years of teaching as a black belt, I took my first yoga class in 2005.
I started practicing yin yoga without even realizing it in the early 1990’s as part of my martial arts training. It wasn’t until many years later that I took my first yin class and now I apply it to every style I practice and teach. Yin provides a great foundation for every style of yoga on every level: physical, mindset, emotional, energy, and spiritual.
Overall, my practice and teachings follow the principles of functional yoga. By understanding and mastering your body mechanics, everyone can enjoy the benefits of yoga without the need for flexibility or great range of motion!
