Angie Ackerman

Angie Ackerman ERYT 500    Victoria

Angie is a YAA Senior Teacher with 21 years of practice/study/training in various styles of Hatha & Raja yoga. Her worldwide practice/teaching led her to Yin in Vietnam. She was overwhelmed yet intrigued by the physical, emotional & mental intensity of the practice. Although Paul Grilley trained, her unique Pure Yin–a Yin with no Yang style–guides you through a deep meditative journey with self while honoring the principles of Yin. She believes YIN is an advanced practice that is not suitable for yoga beginners or people with certain knee/hip/back issues.

Angie specializes in yoga for adults of every age/ability while training instructors how to teach safe/effective classes. She is a dedicated, passionate, teachers teacher. Her vision is that teaching yoga will become a profession, not a pastime. Angie is the Director of Education & Standards for YogaBC & owner of Breathe Yoga School (RYS) where she offers Hatha and Yin training.
