Angela Wofford     The Woodlands

Angela Wofford stumbled across the benefits of Yin Yoga when she was “cramming classes” for a yoga challenge during her first 200-hour teacher training.  When she stepped into her preferred Ashtanga Class and noticed that her flexibility had noticeably improved, she reflected on any changes that may have impacted this.  Though her interest in it as a mode to enhance her Ashtanga practice, she soon realized its many other benefits.  Her curiosity then took her to Vancouver to Bernie Clark’s Yin training.   She returned as a “yinster” for life.  Though she still appreciates the “yang” side of yoga and life, she embraces the pause, the yield, and the exhale in all her endeavors.

Angela also studied in depth in The Netherlands with Max Strom the relationship and power of breath with the body.  She enjoys infusing a breath practice with her classes to further the benefits of a yin practice.   Her dedication and experience as a yin student fuels her passion to share its many benefits and “yin-sights” when she teaches her classes, and she reminds the students that even during challenges that arise during a posture…the luxurious rebound is always to follow.
