Amy Harris

Amy Harris [RYT500]     Portland, Oregon

Amy has been a certified yoga teacher since 1999. Amy is passionate about sharing the therapeutic benefits of yin yoga, since incorporating yin into her own yoga practice and witnessing the improved mobility and level of physical comfort yin yoga provides. Coming from a background in education and science, Amy particularly enjoys teaching anatomy and sharing the benefits of each yin pose so students fully appreciate the value of the asanas they are participating in. In her own yin/yang practice, she is grateful for the benefits yin yoga provides in enhancing and balancing out a demanding yang practice – which she has seen advance dramatically as a result. Amy’s intention is to cultivate a yoga experience that is enjoyable, respects individuality, instills peace and contentment.

Her teaching style is heavily inspired by Paul Grilley and Bernie Clark and she recently took a teacher training in Yin Yoga from Suzanne Zupancic. Amy has been teaching Yin Yoga since 2012 in Portland, HIllsboro, Bethany and Beaverton Oregon.
