Amy Beard

Amy Beard     Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Amy is a Sports Therapist and Yoga teacher who has practiced Yoga since the late 90’s. With a keen interest in musculoskeletal disease and stress on the body, Amy uses yoga as a therapeutic tool both in her therapy clinic and on the Yoga mat. With a strong belief that yoga is an accessible physical practice for any and everybody. Coming to Yin initially suffering from injury, Amy quickly found the benefits of the meditative aspects spill over into daily life. Having initially completed Yin training with Sarah Lo, Amy has continued to develop her training with Bernie Clark.

Having an eclectic background in Feldenkrais, movement practices, Yoga and physical therapy – drawing from these influences ensures the needs of her students on the mat each day are met. Amy teaches weekly classes and holds regular workshops in Sheffield in: Yin, therapeutic body ball rolling and Hatha Yoga.
