Alan Starner

Alan Starner    Fort Collins, Colorado

Alan trained with John Childers, Erich Shiffmann, Sara Powers, Paul Grilley and others while living in California. He went through Paul Grilley’s Teacher training, which included Yin Yoga and Anatomy for Yoga. Although he practices both Yin and Yang (Vinyasa flow) styles of yoga, he especially likes to teach Yin yoga because the deep stretching and long holds provide a meditative practice that really opens up the body and provides a space to explore the body’s inner landscapes. Alan also likes to include some functional anatomy in his classes so people can better understand their strengths and limitations.
