How much should I rest between practices?

A question I often get as a yoga teacher is, “how often can I do Yin Yoga?”  The answer is — it depends! It depends upon your own unique biology, biography, how intensely you do your practice and with what intention. Every body and all tissues need exercise to be healthy but they also need rest to be optimal. How much rest you need is an interesting question and the answer requires a deeper dive into the physiology of our tissues. Read on to discover how often you can practice yoga, running, weight training or any other forms of exercise.
