I am wondering if anyone has any opinion on whether yin should be done before yang or after. I have read that practicing yin before the muscles are warm is ideal as the muscles will tend to take the stretch away from the joints and connective tissue and conversly I have also read that if the muscles are cold/tight they won't allow you to get into the joints.
This question is an oldie but a goodie. I plan to address it in more detail in a day or two (complete with a picture!) but for now, I will refer you to YinSights. Click here for a short discussion on When To Do Yin
Hi everyone ... I am posting this under another title too, but since it also belongs to this thread, I am mentioning it here.
As I replied to Cathy in the above posting, this question of "why should we do yin when the muscles are cold?" is often asked. To answer it more completely I have added a new page to the HTML version of YinSights. Please click on the following link to see a fuller explanation (complete with the promised pictures!)
